Friday Fab: DVD Book Binder

I'm sure that there are many people out there that have a HUGE DVD collection.  We are included in that group.  Tanner and I have always had a lot movies.  Once we got married, we combined our movies and ran out of room on our big book shelf.  We had to start stacking them on top of each other! I have all the movies in alphabetical order, some call it OCD, I call it organized!  Everyday, I walk past the book shelf and just think about how ugly it looks having all of those movies just out in open like that.  Now that we are moving, I refuse to keep the same system that we have now.  I looked into DVD cabinets, but they were all so bulky and took up extra space.  I was at the point where I was just ready to get rid of all our movies.  BUT that would be a problem because we love movies!!  We are not very big TV watchers, and now that One Tree Hill is off the air, I don't have anything to watch.

Then, I found the most FABULOUS thing.... DVD Book Binders!  You take all the movies out of those chunky cases and put them in a binder, but the binder looks like a book.  So neat and way more cute for decorating purposes!!

Friday Fab: The Color Grey

As you may or may not know, Tanner and I are purchasing our first home in a little over 2 weeks!!  I am painting our master bedroom grey.  I have always been a huge fan of bright colors! I love how cheerful they are.  So, to incorporate my love for pretty colors, we are bringing in yellows.  The color we picked is called Winter's Day!  Isn't it such a pretty color?!

In order to save ALOT of money, I am going to make our throw pillows.  Pillows are just so dang expensive!  I have found some fabric that I absolutely love.  I will be making pillows, recovering our chair and hopefully will be able to do something for the windows with any leftover fabric.  Take a look at the fabrics that I have picked out!  Aren't they Fabulous? :) I love the chevron stripes!

Friday Fab: Nude Shoes

If you are a women and do not own a pair of nude shoes, then you should jump on the band wagon and purchase a pair!! My nude color shoes are my favorite clothing item right now.  I love how classy they look.  They match absolutely everything and are a great shoe to transform from day to night.  They can also make your legs appear longer.  This is a definite plus since I am a rather short person.  Vertically challange as many say.  They are my go to shoes!

I bought mine at Target for only $29! Click on Image for the link!

Happy Valentine's Day!

As everyone knows, yesterday was Valentine's Day.  The day you show your special someone just how much you love them.  You should do this everyday in my opinion but it's nice to celebrate anyways!  Tanner and I celebrated Valentine's Day this past weekend by going on a little shopping spree.  I say little, but whenever we go Bass Pro Shops we always end up spending WAY to much money! We also exchanged gifts.  I got a watch and Tanner got a new fishing reel.

After a fun weekend, I wasn't expecting to actually do anything on Valentine's Day.  I had a doctor's appointment and Tanner had to work late.  While I was on my way to Enterprise, my car (Molly the Mazda) decides she wants to quit working.  My gas pedal got stuck and wouldn't budge.  I was going across an intersection when this happened.  So, I called Tanner and he came and switched cars with me so I could go on to my doctor's appointment.  I was so frustrated and just ill because I was going to be super late.  Then I got behind someone who refused to even drive the speed limit.  When I was getting blood work done the nurse lady had some major difficulties.  First, she got a needle that was the size of my vein if not bigger.  My vein was not wanting to participate and just kept rolling around, well she just kept trying and trying.  After my face turns white, I suggest that she try the other arm AND get a smaller needle, before I get sick.  She got the "butterfly" needle and finally got my other vein to work but then my blood just didn't want to flow into the tube, so she gave up with only 1/4 of the amount she was supposed to have.  I'm sure I will have to go back and get it redone.

I ran home to eat before going to work.  When I walk in the door, I have some beautiful roses, Breaking Dawn, and a bottle of wine waiting for me.  All of my frustrations left at that moment.  Like I said, I wasn't expecting anything on the day of Valentine's day.  When Tanner got home we drank some wine and watched Breaking Dawn.  Despite everthing that happened yesterday, I had a wonderful Valentine's Day because I got to spend it with my wonderful husband!
